Tier One Service Dog Foundation trains and donates highly skilled psychiatric service dogs to disabled combat veterans at no cost. Through purpose-driven training and long-term support, we help veterans rebuild confidence, stability, and independence one partnership at a time.
Supporting Disabled Combat Veterans
Tier One Service Dog Foundation exists to support disabled combat veterans navigating the lasting effects of military service, including PTSD, anxiety, depression, and other service-related challenges.
Our goal is to provide more than a trained service dog. We aim to create partnerships that restore confidence, strengthen emotional stability, and improve everyday independence.
Every veteran’s journey is different, which is why every partnership is approached with patience, structure, and long-term support.
Purpose-Driven Service Dog Training
Each dog in the T1SDF program undergoes extensive training focused on obedience, public access, emotional grounding, and task-based support tailored to the needs of disabled veterans.
Training includes:
- Public access and environmental confidence
- Anxiety and panic interruption tasks
- Emotional grounding behaviors
- Structured obedience and reliability
- Socialization and handler bonding
- Everyday lifestyle integration
Our program is designed to prepare service dogs for real-world situations while helping veterans regain confidence in their daily lives.
More Than a Placement Day
The journey does not end when a veteran receives a service dog.
T1SDF remains committed to supporting veterans throughout the transition process by providing continued guidance, community involvement, and long-term encouragement.
We believe lasting impact comes from building relationships, not simply completing placements.
