Tier One Service Dog Foundation

Service Dogs for Disabled Veterans

Tier One Service Dog Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to training and donating highly skilled psychiatric service dogs to disabled combat veterans at no cost. Through structured training, long-term support, and purpose-driven partnerships, we help veterans regain confidence, independence, and stability in everyday life.

Our Approach

At Tier One Service Dog Foundation, we believe healing happens through partnership, consistency, and trust. Every service dog in our program is carefully trained alongside veterans to build confidence, stability, and greater independence in daily life.

From foundational obedience to advanced public access training, each team develops together through a structured, hands-on process designed for real-world support.

Why It Matters

For many veterans, a service dog becomes more than assistance. They become a steady companion through everyday challenges, helping reduce isolation, increase confidence, and restore routine and connection. Every successful placement represents thousands of hours of training, community support, and a shared commitment to those who served our country.

Support the Mission

T1SDF is powered by donors, volunteers, foster families, and community partners who believe veterans deserve continued support long after their service ends. Whether you choose to donate, volunteer, sponsor a dog in training, or help spread awareness, your support directly impacts the lives of veterans and their service dogs.

You Don’t Have to Navigate This Alone

A trained service dog can provide life-changing support, confidence, and independence for daily life. At Tier One Service Dog Foundation, we carefully review each application to ensure the right fit for both the veteran and the dog. If you are a veteran interested in applying for a service dog, the application is the first step in that process.
