ABOUT TIER ONE SERVICE DOG FOUNDATION
Empowering Lives with Service Dogs
Tier One Service Dog Foundation (T1SDF) was created from the heart, built on Trevor and Eileen’s shared passion for helping veterans through the life-changing support of a highly trained service dog. What began as two people working closely with dogs and their handlers has grown into a mission-driven nonprofit focused on giving veterans the stability, confidence, and support they deserve.
Trevor, originally from Newton, Massachusetts, brings years of hands-on dog training experience and a calm, intuitive approach that dogs naturally trust. Eileen, a Gloucester, Virginia native and a registered nurse for 15 years, has always been motivated by caring for others. Together, their compassion and complementary strengths laid the foundation of T1SDF.
Their dogs are an important part of the story. Storm, their Belgian Malinois, is the mother of the first seven puppies raised through T1SDF. The father of the litter comes from a long, well-established line of proven service dogs, chosen intentionally to help produce confident, stable, and highly trainable future partners for veterans. These puppies will grow within our program, receive specialized service dog training, and be donated to veterans at no cost. This marks the beginning of what will become a long legacy of service dogs raised with purpose, structure, and love.
At home, Trevor and Eileen’s life is full, lively, and always centered around dogs. Their pack includes Storm, Ranger, Buddy, and Hank. With five children between them, their home is a blend of chaos, laughter, and unconditional love.
T1SDF reflects that same family spirit, but with a larger mission. Every dog in our program is trained with intention and care. We focus on producing service dogs who are reliable in their task work and also confident, well-rounded, and deeply bonded to their future veteran partner. Our goal is to build lasting teams that support one another through everyday challenges and life-changing moments.
When they are not training, you can usually find them spending time with their kids, cooking together, relaxing at the beach, or surrounded by a pile of dogs who are convinced they are lap sized.
